Photos from this year's Festival of Philippine Arts and Culture are up.  I've had a great run at this event.  I've been attending since the mid-nineties, but the rising cost to attend this event make me wonder if I'll attend next year even though I've only gone for one day for the past two years ( Read more... )

As advertised, I spent both Saturday and Sunday at FPAC. After last year's bigtime downsizing, I didn't know what to expect here. We got another price increase. The daily admission price is now $7, up from $5 for the past two years. Is it worth it. I dunno anymore, but here is the recap with a few photos.

The calendar officially calls today Patriot Day.  I don't know what the proper greeting is for Patriot Day.  It's not exactly a happy day in US history.  You don't say "Happy Patriot Day!"  That would be stupid.
